Salvation Comes from God” (We Can’t Lose It) By Kimberly V. Porter

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23) New International Version (NIV).

Hallelujah; for the Lord God Omnipotent reigns! I am amazed by Your love. I will Bless Your name!
Thank You Jesus for forgiving me of all of my sins. Lord Jesus, my life is bare, unfulfilled without Your renewed filling daily. I ask of You to pour Your presence into my life. I need Your overflow. I need Your Spirt, Your Holy Spirt to fall down on me, to reside within me daily, anoint me with Your power, Your Will, Your way to live within. Anoint me with peace and confidence to live for You this day, in the name of Jesus, Amen. Time and time again I have been a part of diverse conversation in the midst of a few individuals who are aware of the Word of God, who attend a church and although attending have no relationship with Christ….why, because of this answer “the choice of Salvation is not on their thoughts “and or “I am not ready to do all that” as well as Christians saying “we are living on grace and mercy and with that being said…relaxed in things that they once gave up when they first came to the alter and asked for forgiveness. Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever (Psalm 118:1).

What is God’s Mercy? God showing and giving His love to you and I although we don't deserve it and we cannot earn and work for God's grace. I remember being taught in Sunday school years ago something that most do not mention in their teachings anymore and that is “we are not worthy of to be saved” from sin and to have eternal life. However, God showed His grace by saving me from sin's punishment when I made a choice and placed my trust in Jesus as my Savior. My Brothers and Sisters, remember that God shows His grace by giving us strength and guidance, and by taking care of us daily. We must let that be known among each other and as we present Christ to souls. Sin has its consequences however, God, by His grace, gives you and I strength to grip challenging problems in our life.
If you know Jesus as your Savior, you can be thankful that God saved you by His grace. The Bible says, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith . . ." (Ephesians 2:8). You can also depend on God each day for the grace you need to live for Him. Since God shows His grace to you and I , we must show His grace to others.

You will never be the same once you give up sin and accept Jesus as your personal Savior. Crucial word, “personal”, the individual special soul that exist within. I am grateful for Salvation. Recognize this, Jesus is coming back, will you be ready?
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord…My brothers and Sisters, we can’t lose it! Plan and simple. Challenges are coming from every side, False profits, people charging fees to get an anointing healing, salvation, twisting God’s Word around…. much more. Truth be known Jesus is coming and the adversary is doing all things the get the house of God in an uproar- one against another… Pastors against one another, saints against one another, families turning against each other, Bishops, folks saying Jesus is not the way to SALVATION … the devil is a LIE.
The Word of God, the HOLY BIBLE precisely says that there is only one God, one faith, one baptism, and one way to God the Father – and that is only through His Son Jesus Christ and His sacrificial death on the cross. Can I get an AMEN, and if not… I will say AMEN myself, AMEN!
Jesus says that He, and only He, is the way, the truth, and the life leading to God the Father and that no one comes to the Father except through Him(John 14 : 6). Let’s take a praise break and give Him all the Glory because we are to “Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever (. Psalm 118:1).
Beautiful people, sin does two things: it insults God and it kills man. Sin insults, offends God for the reason that it is His law we break.  Sin kills us because of the nature of His law, “But I, the LORD, make the following promise: I have made a covenant governing the coming of day and night. (Jeramiah 33:25) NET Bible.

God is also merciful and gracious.  His justice fell upon Himself -- on the cross. His mercy falls upon us -- by grace through faith, but it is our choice to make the righteous choice, “whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:15-16).Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” (John 8:12). “He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” (John 3:36).Don’t give up on those who you are yet praying and or have prayed for. God has heard our prayers the first time we came to Him in prayer, praise worship.

Jesus is coming, are you ready? “… And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; He who does not have the Son of God does not have life.” (1 John 5:11). “  The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse” (Romans 1:18 New International Version) (NIV).

When asked, “What must I do to be saved? “Tell them, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved” (Acts 16:31). New International Version (NIV). When someone petitions to God and seeks forgiveness in Jesus, his sins are removed, he or she is cleansed, their relationship with God is restored, and he and she is made a new creature (2 Cor. 5:17). All of this is the work of God, not man. When Jesus' disciples asked Him who can be saved, He replied, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible," (Matt. 19:26). That is why salvation rests in God alone by grace through faith (Eph. 2:8-9).
In addition, the Word of God is preached after sin is made known.  For the reason that the sinner cannot come to God on their own, each individual must be convicted of sin, and therefore be made aware of the need for salvation.  The conviction of sin is beyond our control, the conviction is the work of the Holy Spirit (John 16:8).Amen.

“We are Infallible People Saved by Grace” by Shonee R. Phillips

Ephesians 2:8

Have you ever been given a gift just because? You didn’t receive it because it was your birthday, it wasn’t your anniversary, or any other special occasion, you received just because. Well, that’s what it’s like to receive the gift of salvation. We did nothing to earn it or deserve it. God bestowed upon us of his free, unmerited favor, of blessings and love. And while we were yet sinners, God sent his son Jesus to pay our ransom.

Just think, we were held hostage to sin and Christ paid the ransom for us. Because the sin of one, many became sinners (held hostage to sinful nature), and by the righteousness of one, many became righteous. Romans 5:12. So, you see, we can take no credit for something that was already established, far before we ever thought of receiving the gift of salvation. God had already planned a way for us to be reunited to him, through the propitiation of his son, Christ Jesus.
As believers, we are exempt from liability of sin. Jesus took on our sins, over two thousand years ago. He paid the price for every sinner to be set free. Therefore, we can take no credit, because the work has already been done!

The enemy has blinded the minds of the people, into believing that we can do many things to earn the gift of salvation. We get involved in all sorts of church activities, thinking we can earn the love of God or to stay in his good graces. But God, is not like man. He does not make us work to get what he already prepared for us. It is by grace, through faith that we receive salvation. Through grace, God established his love for us, and by faith we receive his gift of salvation. That’s what make us exempt from the liability of sin. Receive the gift of salvation today, by believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth, the Lord Jesus. The grace is already available, God is just waiting for you to believe by faith.

We are Infallible People SAVED by Grace by Kimberly V. Porter

8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast (Ephesians 2:8-9 New International Version NIV).

I will thank God for the faith I conceive (I labor through, continuously building more faith).
I will pray for more faith.
I will not be full of pride of my faithfulness paralleled to my Brothers and Sister’s in Christ.
The above are my significant opinions for me as a Disciple of Christ.

Faith is increased by acts of faith (trust, belief, assurance) therefore we are reminded through God’s Word, “As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead” (James 2:26).
In and through my experience, I trust in God's assurances and step out in faith and will get distracted by varies obstacles, when that happens wavering (uncertainness) arouses my emotions and when I come to myself I realize that wavers are not the answer. In and through my experience with faith, I have to learn how to wait and be patient while holding on to faith. Proverbs tells us to “Trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding”. God is able, we must hold on and put on the full armor of God no matter what we see hear or feel. Paul tells us, “The path we walk is charted by faith, not by what we see with our eyes.” (2 Corinthians 5:7 “For we live by faith, not by sight”).

Therefore, “Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists… (Hebrews 11:6 New International Version (NIV), “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek Him. Placing our confidence and our faith, in an invisible Creator (God) whose ways and exact nature astonish and may stun the wise amid us. Nevertheless, by my loving God’s grace, He has revealed enough about who He is for us to trust in Him for the pieces of what seems to be a puzzle we don’t yet recognize or comprehend, this is the actual soul of walking by faith.  It is not a sightless faith that is hopefulness. All the same, based on the evidence and experiences we have already valued, we make a mindful awakening choice to trust in God for all things.

We are Infallible People SAVED by Grace

According to the Merriam dictionary (2017), one definition from the dictionary states “Infallible as “not capable of being wrong or making mistakes”, Merriam-Webster, Incorporated (2017). However, look closely and you will see the word “fall”. Time and again we will stumble into a fall and the challenges of faith arise, a decrease in our faith causes us to lose focus , something or somethings have surfaced and caused a major and minor collapse to our faith walk. When it comes to “infallible”, the Bible is the sole objective source of all God has given us about Himself and His plan for people. As God’s infallible Word, the Bible, God’s Word, contains no errors, His Word is trusted, steadfast, magnificent, unfailing, and abundant to meet our needs. Reliance on God’s Word is the first step to understanding. One or the other it is the Word of an infallible God.

In the name of “people” various terms could be positioned such as justly, groups, communities, self –determining (of a country having the power or freedom to form its own government) capable of determining one's or its own acts, citizens of a jurisdiction and culturally detached, the list could be continued. However, as for people, God is stronger than our strength and His love is the uttermost love. As a people, many have loved in addition to the choice to sacrifice themselves for others in various ways. This resemblance shows we will be able to have obtained the infallible proof, that our beautiful loving God lives, loves and gave His only Son, Jesus for our Salvation, therefore,I believe with all of my mind, soul, heart that the Bible, which is God’s Word is the only infallible Word of God and people are saved by grace…“ For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8).

People SAVED by Grace
“We have been made ALIVE IN CHRIST”

As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, 2 in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. 3 All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh[a] and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. 4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

No longer Foreigners and Strangers
9 Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. 21 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. 22 And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit (Ephesians 2New International Version) (NIV).

God’s Glory

Last but not least, God’s glory is the immeasurable beauty and greatness of God’s excellence. Let us give God His Glory which is already His. Glorify Him with all of your strength and might in the beauty of Holiness in a repentant spirit.

In Search of Grace with Michelle Adams

A year or two ago, I decided to take a chance on myself. I decided that I was worth the risk to
jump head first into the world of entrepreneurship. Little did I know that it would require giving
myself a lot of grace to make mistakes and learn in the process.
I have failed myself more times than I care to admit and have sat motionless for even more. I
have been tough on myself to the point of inactivity at times. Intellectually, I understood what
was happening yet I still would get stuck, until recently. I adopted a new way of seeing things.
I choose to see through grace lenses. I accept that I am not perfect nor should I expect myself
to be no matter who acts like I should. I accept that I will fail, mess up, fall down and fall short. I
also accept that I can get back up and try again. Proverbs 24:16 tells me that a righteous man
falls seven times. That means that I he kept getting back up. (next letter)
How many of you as Christians have been where I was? Is that how you have felt spiritually?
You mess up and think, “how can I go to God?” So you hide out at home. You are more worried
about what Sally Sue has to say than God. He knows that you are not perfect so why are you
pretending? According to Ephesians 2:8, He still gives grace.

When we remember that God gives us grace not because of us, it helps us to be more humble.
It also gives us the confidence to stand tall even when we have messed up. We don’t have to
wallow in our mistakes. That’s what the devil wants.

There is nothing that we can do to make us lose our grace or get more of it. Yes, we should
make a sincere and heartfelt effort to honor God in all that we do. We should do our best but
when we fall short -- get up. God gives grace despite what we have or have not done.
Accept that you are not perfect nor should anyone expect you to be. Realize that God’s grace is
not based on performance or lack of it. His grace is sufficient. That means that it’s enough.
Humble yourself and accept His gift of grace for you.

If you want to know more about God’s grace I encourage you to begin with Ephesians 2 and
then find a good bible study to attend regularly. Happy Searching. I love you and God does, too.

Your sister in Christ,
Michelle Adams

What does it takes to be a Natural Woman By Mascheria Nabbs

Hello everyone,I am the writer for the natural woman and what does it takes to be that .

What does the word natural means. It means existing in or caused by nature; not made or caused by humankind..

Being a Natural Woman means being natural. Like I said my name is Mascheria and I am a natural woman.

First I started with my hair. My hair is very very thick and it takes about 2 ½ hours to dry being under a dryer.

But I love how it looks when I come from under the dryer and it is worth the 2 ½ hours.

I use to use relaxers in my hair and textures. Now the textures I love but the relaxers was too much .They would not help my hair to be healthy as soon as I would use oil .My hair would dry up I said to myself there has got to be a better way. Looking on Youtube and getting ideas from other women it made me feel a lot better knowing that there are products out there

In which I can use. In the natural women section of Elation Magazine every month I will be giving ideas on and about the products in which you can get for your hair.

You can make your home all natural . I be showing you how you can make your own makeup . So sit back and enjoy being a all NATURAL WOMAN. :)

It’s All About Love... The Love Of Jesus

The Proverbs 31 Woman is God-fearing:
A women of nobility.
A virtuous woman.

Fearing God is virtuous for the reason that “fearing” protects us from yielding into our own sinful nature.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.
(Proverbs 1- 7).Often times, those that fear God, are more likely to bear in mind their “word” in addition to treating others with compassion.

On the other hand,
What about the diverse woman of today?
What about the complex life-styles of the woman today?

The married woman.
The single woman.

The woman with children.
The woman without children.

The older woman.
The younger woman.
The Proverbs 31 Woman.

The ideal woman defined in Proverbs is a representation of the ultimate womankind. The focus of this representation is a woman’s connection with God, not her detailed capabilities or married position. The Proverbs 31 woman understands that regardless of her unusual gifts or developed skills, all her achievements, she recognizes that her strength comes from God. Who is a virtuous woman today? Proverbs 31 tells me that it is the woman who puts God first. The Proverbs 31 woman is to encourage all women everywhere. Society may change, nonetheless the Proverbs 31 woman is God-inspired and her Godly character glows radiantly through time.

Who Can Find a Virtuous Woman?

A virtuous woman is unique
God’s word says “she is hard to find” (I am a treasure hard to find).
My price is far above rubies, (I am of fine quality).
I must be held with great care.
My husband knows that I am a precious gem without a doubt.
He knows that I am willing to please.
My children treat me with honor and respect and that I will continuously do my best to teach them why “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding”.
As a virtuous woman
I stand strong
I stand alongside my own husband

I am humble and takes no chaos. I will always pass the test God has chosen for me to complete because in Him I am complete and in Him there is no failure.
Anyone will know the virtuous woman when she walks by because she always walks with her head up high.
She’s courageous and strong, a woman designed for purpose.

A woman of grace “But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way” (1 Corinthians 12:31).
The virtuous women of today, at all times remembers the part that she has been designed for… to be Christ like. “ Love is patient, love is kind, love is not jealous, it does not boast, it does not become conceited, 5 it does not behave dishonorably, it is not selfish[b], it does not become angry, it does not keep a record of wrongs, 6 it does not rejoice at unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth, 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things” (1 Corinthians 13).

A DO Over with Stacey Barlow

There is nothing like the love a father shows her daughter when she is first born and him watching her grow. That’s with any child when it comes to a man becoming a father. Our father in Heaven provides for us, protects us, gives us rules to live by just like our earthly fathers do. For as long as I can remember, my Heavenly father has taken care of me. My earthly father left when I was a little over one years old. Just like you should long to know our Heaven father through His son Jesus, I long for the love of my earthly father for many years. He denied me being his child and I look just like him. The only time that our Heavenly father denies his children is when that time comes to meet Him and you haven’t done what you were supposed to do while on earth, He will turn you away. Matthew 7:23 says “And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” I often thought about if I had the chance to do it all over again, I wish my “daddy” would have loved me like other fathers loved their children and not deny them.

With Jesus the son ad God the father, you don’t have to work so hard in receiving love from them. They love you unconditionally. God continues to give you grace and mercy each day to better yourself, follow His commands so that you will one day see His son’s face in the Kingdom. I fought so hard to receive love from my father and to no avail did he ever once really say that he loves me personally. When I say personally, I mean he spoke in third person constantly. I thought we were becoming close when he invited me on a trip. It was a great trip because I was excited that I was with him. On this trip, with any suggestion given, he did not take or listen. The difference between our earthly fathers and Heavenly father is that our Heavenly father will lend an ear and helping hand. True enough, our earthly fathers will do that when they can but God dies it ALWAYS and ALL THE TIME.

For 43 years of my life, I craved for the love of my father but, it never came to be and I had to love him from a distance until his dying day. I asked him on his death bed about the reason he denied me for so long. Even then, he still didn’t want to talk about that reason he denied me but, claimed other children that possibly didn’t belong to him. I later found out that it was the teachings of his mother (my grandmother) which had him to believe that I didn’t belong to him but, I know I was my earthly father’s child and I also belong to God. He treats me better than any man on this earth can ever treat me. So no matter how you are with your earthly father, just know that your Heavenly father loves you unconditionally and you belong to Him.

Don’t Be Deceived by Valencia Clay

Jesus said, “My sheep know my voice and a stranger they will not follow”. This means there are sounds and voices in the heavenliest that are beautiful, alluring, and loud. If we are connected to the spirit of Christ we will know the sound of righteousness from the sound of the error. Jesus told the disciples that the enemy would to sift them as wheat, but He already prayed that their faith would not fail. We have to be careful and watchful because the devil is walking to and fro in the earth seeking whom he may devour. Be watchful and alert. The enemy is a trickster and he comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus comes that we may have life and that more abundantly. The music, the videos, the books, the movies, the clothes etc; have meanings. The enemy is disguising those things to pull persons into the pit of hell with him. Be careful. The enemy is presenting himself as an angel of light. Try the spirit by the word, and if it cannot be found, flee from it. The bible lets us know that in the last day the angel of darkness will come imitating the angel of light and if it were possible fool the very elect of God. The spirit of the enemy is shrewd and will use any and everything to keep you out of the kingdom of God. Be not deceived. God who is our help will lead you and guide you into all truth. Do not accept everything from everybody because they are being bewitched by the enemy through money. Money is not evil, but the lover of money is the root to all evil. Many have coveted after it and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows. Walk not as fools but as wise redeeming the time for the days are evil. Put off the darkness and put on light. The Lord is my light and my salvation.

“The Greatest Love” By Kimberly V. Porter

John 15:13 New International Version

Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends.
The greatest thing a person can do for a friend is to give up their own life for them. Jesus showed “no greater love” through laying down his life for complete strangers, enemies, even the people who wanted to crucify him, and for people he would never ever meet.

Jesus sacrificed His life for mine and that is a perfect example of a show of “no greater love”
What would you do?

John 15:15 New International Version. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.Think about this, Jesus doesn’t see us as servants, as disappointments, He calls us His friends. How many people do you personally call you friend? How many of them would you willingly lay down your life for? Jesus said “I no longer call you servants”, this is the compassionate of love that is deep, the trailblazing for our souls. Jesus loves us so that He shares what our Heavenly Father has provided to Him. We know that God cares and often we will be challenged wondering if He really loves us however, our faith and belief must be strong in Christ to experience such love.

This may often seem like an extreme amount of pressure within our body and our emotions will be involved. Understand that having the Holy Ghost is important and highly valued and teaches us. But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you ( John 14:26).
I learned to love deep because of the personal experience with Christ.

John 15:16 New International Version
You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit--fruit that will last--and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.

John 8:32 - And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Forgive. Forget with Valencia Clay

How many times have we heard persons who have done unforgivable acts say let’s just forgive and forget? We as natural being do not readily do either. When we have given our lives to Christ and put on His righteousness, we then ascribe to “be like Jesus”. Jesus says in Matthew 6:14, 15 states, “For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. We must realize that forgiveness comes from a heart seeking to do the will of God. Also, when we do not forgive, we give the trespasser power over our growth both natural and spiritual. They are free because they asked and we are bound because we did not let it go. The forget part is not something we can or will readily do. The bible says we should forgive but it did not say we had to forget. Jesus says in Hebrew 10:17,”And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more”. He said this after a covenant was made between Himself and the people. We must learn to forgive always so we can be forgiven always. If we can forget we are just that much closer to being that example in the earth that Jesus prayed for us to be.

In With the New with Author Stacey Barlow

What’s old in your life? It’s time to throw it out. People always say what they are going to do for the New Year but what does God say? He is the only one who can make major changes in your life. Once that happens, you have to be the one to execute them. Because these changes only belong to you. He gives them to you and only you. No one else can take what He gives you. In other words: A new life. That can be anywhere from being born again in Christ to Him showing you favor with your finances, and home life. People are always saying, “you can change” and that is true but, if the person who needs changing is not accepting the change, then there is no help. Let us start with one material thing: The long time running television show “The Price Is Right” is one example of “something new” When they announce the winner to “Come on down! You’re the next contestant on the Price is Right” that contestant has to guess the price of the item to get to the next level; once the next step happens, they may received a chance at “A brand new car!” STOP. . .THINK! What price did Jesus pay for us to live an abundant life? More than a brand new car. More than a house on a hill. More than a huge wedding only to end up in divorce years later. If any man be in Christ, he is a “new” creature: old things are passed away, behold, all things are become new. {2 Corinthians 5:17} That is very good news. God gives us new mercies everyday and on top of that. . .grace. Things that go on in this world you cannot be conformed to but, by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God. {Romans 12:2} This means {to me} that only God can and will allow such a transformation to happen, if you let it happen. The things that you do, you don’t do anymore. You become brand new. . .No, it doesn’t happen over night but, God wants you to want something new so, that He can continue to bless you. If you want “new” do you know that you can have that? God can give you: A new heart A new mind A new spirit A new body A new soul New hands New feet New eyes A new mouth A new tongue The heart is to feel and have empathy for people. A new mind to think clearly on God’s word when someone is trying to make you have a bad day. A new spirit to walk upright with God. A new body to have Christ live within you taking out the toxins that poison your system {drinking, drugs, sex, lying, back biting, coveteness, adultery etc}. A new soul to make you be in control of your thoughts. New hands to work diligently for God the right way. New feet to walk circumspectly and not as fools do. New eyes to see clearly what God is putting in front of you to see things in a different perspective. A new mouth to not say anything that is unnecessary. A new tongue to speak when necessary and speak life into your life or someone else with positive affirmations. Has God made something new for you?

A Very Merry Un-Birthday with Author Stacey Barlow

It is stated that Herod the Great died 1 B.C. or 4 B.C. but whichever time it was. Jesus was already born and Herod transitioned sometime after reigning 37 years? During the time of Herod’s death, it was found that there were tow to three lunar eclipse between September 13th through December 29th 4 B.C. but, as stated Jesus was already here when the angel of the Lord spoke to Joseph. During the reign of Caesar, shortly before Jesus was born, Caesar made a decree that everyone had to be registered which caused people to travel in the dead of winter. Some has said that Jesus was born in the fall if you count backwards from His death on Passover, Nisan 14 in the spring of the year 33 C.E. We do know that Jesus was in His 30’s when He began His three and half year ministry, so He was born in the fall 2 B.C.E. {Luke 3:23} So if that be the case, why is Christmas set to be on December 25th? Is it because of the way it is written in the Bible? It never mentions Christmas. It mentions certain kinds of trees. Leviticus 23:40 reads : “And ye shall take you the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees and willows of the brook and ye shall rejoice before the Lord of your God seven days.” And another Isaiah 60:13 reads: “The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree and the box together to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.” These two scriptures are remotely close to resemble Christmas. But keep in mind that the days we celebrate are considered pagan and Jesus himself asks: “Why do you also transgress the commandment of Elohem because of your tradition?” He goes on to say “Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you saying: These people draw near to me with their mouths, and honor Me with their lips but, their heart is far from Me and in vain they worship Me, Teachings as doctrines the commandments of men.” {Matthew 15:3; Matthew 15:7} Wise men traveled from a far and brought gifts? The number of wise men were not mentioned and still not knowing exactly when Jesus was born. {But the wise men came to a house where Mary and Jesus were} The wise men followed the east star {which may put you in the mind of Christmas} Here is when the angel of the Lord spoke to Joseph, told him to take his wife and child and flee to Egypt because Herod wanted to kill Jesus. They stayed there until Herod dies but, when Herod seen that the wise men mocked him, Herod had all the children in Bethlehem killed. After the death of Herod, an angel of the Lord spoke to Joseph again and go to Israel because everyone there was dead who sought the child’s life. My second favorite movie is “Alice in Wonderland”. I grew up on it because at 10 years old, my mother bought me the album when she was in California. I played that album up until I was 29 years old. One day I pulled it out to listen to it, and it had split in half. On this album there is a song called “A Very Merry Un-Birthday. And part of the lyrics are: “Statistics show that you have one birthday, one birthday every year but, there are 364 un birthdays that’s why we are all gathered here.” Think of it this way, everyday that you are given new grace and mercies, is the day that you can also celebrate Jesus birthday because He lives within you. So, have yourself a very merry un birthday everyday

A Testimony by Blossom White

Born Blossom Lafyetta Butler in New Smyrna Beach, FL on January 15, 1966 to a teenage mom. As a teenage mom, she made a decision to allow her grandmother to raise her beautiful daughter, whom she named Blossom. Being raised by a loving great-grandmother who believed in some unique home remedies, those remedies later developed detrimental habits for Blossom. She recalls drinking a Colt 45 beer as a cure for ring-worms. She states “I was excited when Mama (great-grandma) called me Monkey (Blossom’s nickname) and said “Go get your medicine”. “It took two hands to open the refrigerator door. When I finally got it opened, there was a can with a horse on it, Colt 45.” Looking back, Blossom remembers feeling warm and fuzzy, but still had the ring-worms.

Later Blossom’s mom married and told her that it was time for her to come home. It was a bitter-sweet moment, because it was always just her and her great-grandmother and now she was to live with others and would have to share. Living with her mom, step-dad, and siblings, Blossom was often confused, angry because of sharing, and yet, happy to have play-mates.

Things began to change when Blossom became more relaxed living in this new environment. Her step-dad would treat her differently around others than in private. She recalls, private times of him tell her that she had pretty legs. But around others calling her big lips. As time progressed, he began foundling her and that made her flash back to age 5 when one of her great-grandmother’s boarders exposed his “worm” and asked her to kiss it. Blossom did as many did during that time and did not tell. She recalls saying to her step-dad as her touched her, “I’m gonna tell my mama” and he laughed and said “no one will believe you”. That statement stuck with Blossom and shut her mouth of years to come.

This inappropriate behavior continued until age 16 when she got pregnant on purpose by her boyfriend who promised to marry her and get her out of the house. The child was born and he abandoned her for someone else. Later, Blossom married a military guy and living in Fort Braggs (Fayetteville, NC) birthed another son. The marriage dwindled and Blossom left the relationship, but didn’t get divorced. She started dating another man and later birthed a third son. By age 23, she was the mother of three sons.

Still yearning for love and looking for a true sense of belonging, Blossom met a guy whom she trusted, yet he also had a deep secret of drug abuse due to crack cocaine. Still, she loved him deeply. He began beating her and because of her deep love for him, her warped option was, “since I can’t beat him, I’ll join him and she began smoking crack cocaine. Drug addiction led her to become an “unfit” mother and she gave her sons to her mother and great-grandmother. This action began a long life of jail, prison, homosexual habits, rehabs, mental institutions, theft, homelessness, and doing everything against the love-life teachings of her great-grandmother. Because of this lifestyle, Blossom began living under a bridge in the back seat of her car.

On June 3, 2004, sitting in a crack-house in Daytona Beach, FL, Blossom surrendered by writing a letter to God. She took a piece of paper and pen out of her purse and told God that she was sick and tired of being sick and tired. She smoked and wrote and smoked and wrote. As a lady walked in the room, Blossom told her that she was leaving and never smoking crack again and the lady laughed. Blossom put the note in her purse and walked away from drug abuse, forever.

Blossom checked herself in to a rehab center in Miami, FL where she received the knowledge of how to stay clean and sober. She went back to school and became a National Certified Medical Assistant and met her second husband, later moving to Tuscaloosa, Alabama where she presently resides. Living in Tuscaloosa, Blossom went back to school and became a Certified Drug Counselor. Recently divorced, for the second time, Blossom has never given up on remaining clean and sober. June 4, 2016 makes 12 years of being clean and sober. Her dreads are a symbol of the 12 years of deliverance.

Blossom is presently the author of 3 books: From “Under A Bridge I and II”, and her latest book, “And They Laughed” because the world will teach you the difference between laughing with you and at you. She is the CEO and Founder of From Under A Bridge, Inc., the TV host of her own talk show, The Blossom Show (WEPH Channel 49 in Tupelo, MS), a motivational speaker and facilitator of a Drug Rehab program (Zion and Recovery). She has spoken at the University of Alabama, TBN Christian Network, Great Day Tuscaloosa with Kip Tyner, and many other great venues.

Habitat for Humanities of Tuscaloosa, Alabama has donated land, where she is presently seeking funding to build ‘From Under A Bride Safe Haven Home for Women’. From Under A Bridge, Inc. is a 501c3, non-profit agency. This home will house 6 women as they journey to recover from drug and alcohol addiction and abuse, while acquiring learning skills to leave clean and sober.

If you would like to donate to this worthy cause, please contact Blossom via email blos2white@yahoo.com, phone 305-753-8164 or Facebook @ Blossom Rogers. Blossom believes in the scripture Jeremiah 29:11 stating that “no matter what your past looks like, God has a great plan for your future” (para-phrased). From Under A Bridge is in negotiations with Elijah Wells Films, Inc. in Miami, FL and will be featured as a short film. God has brought Blossom from under a bridge to drive over the bridge to her dreams. Stay tuned! The best is yet to come. To God be the Glory!

What’s On Your Mind with Author Stacey Barlow

Just like the commercial in which Samuel L. Jackson asks you a question of : “What’s in your wallet?” I’d like to take the time in asking you, “what’s on your mind?” Is it, money, family, relationship, your job, friends, or your purpose in life? Whatever it may be, you’ll have something to say about it. Each day that you are given new mercies and grace, you are also given the opportunity to do something about your circumstances. For example: if you are looking to find a new job, the first step to take is to look for a specific job that you desire by searching the want ads or asking someone if they know of any job openings. Secondly, you just don’t sit around waiting to see if the opportunity will knock; you must be willing and determined to get out and do the foot work if you want to make your dreams a reality. {I’m also speaking to myself.} Either case, you have opened your mouth to say something. I have many inspirational stories in the Bible that gets me thinking on how I can change my life as well as be a blessing to others because I do have something to say. It’s all a form of putting ideas and words together to get the message out there. The fear is, will people listen? Moses comes to mind when I think on having something to say. You see, Moses thought of himself as not a good speaker so, he had a conversation with God when God felt it was time for the children of Israel to be set free. Moses questioned God about his speaking ability in asking ‘Who am I to go to Pharoah that I should get them out of Egypt?” We tend to set our minds up for failure when we feel that we are not good at something or feel as though we aren’t important but, in God’s eyes, we are very important when we don’t think so. You must have faith that people will listen. Moses had his doubts as we all do. He then ask more questions: “When I go to the children what do I tell them?” “What if they don’t believe me?” God gave Moses instructions to show that if you do these things, my children will believe. Moses carried a rod. Our rod in life is Jesus and when you carry that rod in life with you daily, you’ll be able to go about your “daily” in saying what you have to say and people will listen. Yet, Moses still had some doubts about his speaking ability. God made Moses feel more comfortable with doing what he was supposed to do by asking him: “Who made man’s mouth? Or who maketh the dumb or deaf? Or the seeing or the blind? Have not I the Lord? Now therefore go and I will be with thy mouth and teach thee what to say.” Moses was still a bit doubtful, maybe even frightened. By then, God was angry with Moses because of his own inability to speak. Do you ever stop to think that when you doubt your abilities God gets upset with you? {An ah~hah moment} But understand this: God still loves you and wants you to succeed. In order to ease Moses’ mind, God sent Moses brother Aaron with him. In life, God won’t always send someone with you to do the job He has ask you to do. You {in general} have to step up to the plate and do your own work. Dreams are made to be known so, that it can not only help you but, also help others in the long run. . .so SPEAK UP and be heard! I clearly have much to say and so many ideas but, I must get over the fear of people not listening and know that God is with me every step of the way

A Message from Rhonda McAlister

2 Col 10:4
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,

Have you ever thought just maybe some people really don't understand what it means to trust God. Not just saying it but actually doing it but their whole heart. Activating the faith that has been inside of them since the day they receive Christ. I remember having to trust God in my twenties when the love of my life just seemingly left. (In reality he had been gone).

Then having to trust Him again very recently with the sudden passing of my mom. Who knew what Hell I would suffer internally. It was only because of the teachings that I have received from my church home that I understood something about death and the fact that I knew that I could fully trust God to get me through all the emotional turmoil that I was feeling and not let me succumb to a terrible sadness or depression. In fact, because I knew the great love my momma had for her Savior, that was my saving grace. Still is. When I think back on that time I'm eternally grateful for him placing my Aunt Mae there in the hospital to repeatedly call back the word of God to me.

Now again I fully trust His provision in my home. I thank him for giving us the authority to call those things that be not as though they were so that my household will continue to have no lack as I walk this entrepreneur path. I'm grateful to know that #IML is going to be the biggest, most significant factor that has come along for me and my family. I'll Trust God to place the right people in my path at the right time for the right reasons. I believe that he will have the right person pour into me, and will have me pour into someone else in His name.

So just maybe when your life feel like it is a tug a war maybe it is just because you have not truly turned it over to God. Let it go.

A Message from Apostle Mascheria Perdue Nabbs

2 Col 10:4
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.

As I set back and look at how we allow the devil to break us down with so many problems .. God has given us the victory to overcome. What does it mean to pull down strongholds. It means to let go . When you are in bondage, meaning when you can not let your past go or every time you turn around you are listening to things you should not be listening to .

Here are some example to get rid of your strongholds.

1) Prayer .The word of God shows where Daniel prayed 3 times a day . Daniel 6:10
2) The word of God speak about fasting . Matthew 9:29 . Now some people have there way of fasting. I am from the old school to where I do not eat nor drink for however long it takes .
3) And most of all being to yourself and seeking the face of God. Seek ye first the kingdom of God Matthew 6:33. When you do these 2 things and really get yourself in check . Those strongholds will fall off of you . . And Once God has set you free never go back . The book of Philippians 3:14 say I press toward a mark of a high calling. Keep on press no matter what it takes keep on in Jesus Name!

What Coat of Many Colors Do You Wear? by Author Stacey Barlow

Let us begin with the story of Joseph. . .No, not Jesus earthly father, Joseph but, the Joseph who is rarely talked about. Joseph is Jacob’s 11th son by his favorite wife, Rachel. Joseph was favored by his father more than his other brothers who were sons of three of his other wives. And because of the love for his son, Jacob and his mother made him a coat of many colors. To them, he was considered “a miracle child.” Many of us today are like Joseph. . .dreamers but, Joseph had the gift of dreams and he was able to do something about them but, not until tragedy struck him to make him stronger. Joseph loved his brothers dearly; though they were his half brothers, he still loved them and wanted to help. His 10 brothers talked down to him because they were jealous of the fact that he was favored by his father. One day the brothers were going to Dothan to feed the flock and Joseph begged his father to go with them. The brothers later seen he was coming and plotted against him. One brother said not to kill him but, have him sold. They tore off the precious coat of many colors his father had given him and threw him in the pit, leaving him there with no water or food. There came along Midianites merchantmen and were sold to Ishmaelites from Gilead for twenty pieces of silver and Joseph was taken to Egypt. Joseph’s brother Reuben went back to the pit and found that he wasn’t there. {He rent his clothes} The brothers told their father, Jacob that Joseph was devoured by an evil beast and shown Jacob the coat of many colors that had been dipped in goat’s blood. Jacob rented his clothes and there was no consoling him. Joseph became a slave to Pharoah’s officer and captain of the guard, Potiphar. Joseph became also Potiphar’s right hand, and was made overseer of the household. Joseph was later put into prison because Potiphar’s wife lied on him saying that Joseph had taken advantage of her. While in prison, the Lord was with Joseph still and the keeper of the prison had given him favor over the other prisoners. There, Joseph explained to one what his dreams meant, and was asked to be remembered when the prisoner got out. Many years passed and Potiphar came to get

Joseph because Pharaoh had heard of his gift of interpreting dreams. Joseph helped Pharaoh understand the dreams. People from other cities, towns would come to get food and Joseph’s brothers shown up and by then, Joseph was really doing great things in Egypt. They did not recognized him and what they did to him, he did to the youngest brother, Benjamin because he stole something that belong to Joseph. Benjamin was beckoned for because he became Jacob’s favorite son, and was also not allowed to be with the brothers because of his youth and the fear of the same thing happening to him that happened to Joseph which Jacob was unaware of. When they proved they were not spies, Joseph told them who he was after, Judah, the son of Leah confessed what really happened the day Joseph was sold. Through the years, God blessed Joseph through hard times to possibly test Joseph’s faith and he survived the bad times. This “coat of many colors” was a prize possession of Joseph as a gift from his father to show how special he was to him. The bible doesn’t state what colors were in the coat but, let us look at these colors dealing with the primary, secondary and a combination of both. Red: may represent the coat being dipped in goat’s blood to cover up what the brothers did to Joseph and hide their guilt. We tend to do things in our daily lives and cover up what we do because we feel guilty for doing it.

We are not perfect but, we do our best to keep in mind God’s grace and mercies. Blue: could represent the strength that Joseph had during his trials and tribulations while being a slave in Egypt. It seems that what he was going through didn’t bother him. He just kept doing what he was told to do. There are days when we feel that we can’t go on but, there is something that pushes us to keep going. Yellow: can be thought of as two things: (1) coward ness of his brothers for doing what they did and lying to their father; (2) the mornings Joseph woke up to see a new day and knowing something good had to come out of it. How many times have we backed out in doing something whether it’s a good deed or bad? When it’s good, we fear the outcome because we tend to want to have a person’s approval on something. When it’s bad, it’s being kept quiet because you feel guilty for doing it and you want to tell but, can’t bring yourself to tell whatever it is. And even in the back of your minds, you ask for forgiveness and it is granted to see another day. Red + blue=purple: this can represent Joseph being treated as royalty at some point in his life. He lost it and got it back. Many times we are brought up by our sisters and brothers that we are queens and kings and we should continue to think that way but, even queens and kings have their days where things are not going right. Blue + yellow=green: this color is obvious. Joseph’s brothers were jealous of him for many reasons and the fact that he could interpret dreams didn’t help. What is it in your life that you are great at and people want to tear you down because of the gift that God gave YOU? If they would take time out of their busy schedule and find out what they are great at, there would be no time for the other person to be jealous of your gifts and what you have. Combination colors: {red +yellow= orange/blue, blue +yellow=green/red, red + blue= purple/yellow} Black: represents what evil was done by the brothers toward Joseph just because they hated him. What day goes by that you wished something upon someone you didn’t like? Ask yourself why you don’t like them? This is only a reflection that there is something in your life that you don’t like about yourself. At the end of the day, God is still blessing you whether you know it, believe it, feel it and trust it. Keep in mind these questions as a survival tactic: what coat of many colors will I wear today and how do I want to be perceived?

My Faith Kept Me Alive

What is faith? We hear varying descriptions of this word- belief in the unseen, trust in a higher power - my favorite definition is Hebrews 11 which states, “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. (NIV) Faith is an internal spring of life that gets us through the most challenging things. Whether it is a sick child, not knowing how you will pay rent to trusting your dreams will become reality, faith is a rock of salvation, and it rescues us from the pit of oppression and delivers us from meditating on unlikely circumstances. Faith is an invitation to desire greater, believe greater and become greater.

A few months ago I was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. Cancer! This explained the excruciating abdomen and back pain as well as the vomiting fits and burning sensation in my stomach. The malignant tumor was bleeding and caused severe anemia. I never had energy to do anything.
Though cancer free now, the diagnosis terrified me. I thought, “People die from cancer! I can’t die; I have so much living to do and a 6 month old baby. Envisioning my three children sitting on the front pew of a church at my funeral & wondering if my grandson would remember me saddened me. Questions like, “Who would raise my baby? How will my older girls do with me gone? How would they manage?” horrified me. I declared “I will not die, but live!” I made the decision that no matter how bleak things looked I was going to fight for my life. If the cancer had spread, I was going to fight. If I needed chemotherapy or radiation, I was going to fight. I drew strength from my faith and found hope in my heart.

Having never faced this type of health crisis it was important that I look to God. I reached out to family for prayer, encouragement and emotional support. I read & meditated on John 11:4 & Isaiah 53:5. I talked to friends and listened to inspirational songs, my favorite, “Let Your Power Fall” by James Fortune. Solely focusing on life and living gave me peace.
Life happens yet we are not built to break. We are going to experience situations that will make us feel overwhelmed. In moments of obscurity, choose faith. Choose to believe that everything will ultimately be just fine even when nothing outwardly supports this belief. If you need to cry, cry! If you struggle to find inner peace, feel what you feel but don’t get stuck there, find an outlet. Faith is not allowing what we see determine what we believe.

A Word From Kai

Appreciate...meaning to be grateful for what you have, to take a good look at your surroundings and smile at your blessings. I found out throughout my journey that true appreciation comes with maturity. As a kid, it all depended on what and how your parents taught you but until you were put in a situation you really wouldn't be able to understand it. Not following me? Well, let me give you an example.

Picture it: A sixteen year old girl walking home at 3 a.m. when she should have been home at ten as per the curfew her mother set for her. As she's walking, she hears gun shots coming from the direction that she is walking towards. She slows down when she sees one of her guy friends running towards her and as she's about to ask him what happened he falls to the floor suddenly. As she looks at his back she sees a small hole with blood leaking out of it real fast. As much as she wanted to run home and leave him there she knew it wasn't right. She stayed with him, flagged down an ambulance that just happened to be driving down the street past them and when the police showed up, she told them exactly what she knew about the matter which was not much. Once she escaped the scene, she sneaked back into her house quietly and prayed to herself. At that moment she appreciated why her mother never wanted her out late.

When that sixteen year old girl became a grown woman, she had a moment to sit back and reminisce on that moment. Reminisce on how in hindsight there was a lot more to be appreciative of at that time. Not only did she reminisce on that moment but others in her youth that made her close her eyes and say a THANK YOU GOD within herself.

James 4:2 You have not because you ask not. “ASK”

The bible is very clear! We don't receive from God because we do not ASK God. James 4:2 emphasizes the true importance of prayer. God is not playing games. So many blessings are forfeited daily because of a lack of prayer. God resisted the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. The fact is proud people fail or do not pray. They feel they can do it without God.

ASK it's not about whether God answers or whether he does not answer. Your part is to ASK. In ASKING God we must have a desire to pray because God desire is for us to come to him in prayer, making our request known to him. The word of God tells us to have a attitude of thanksgiving when we ASK. We must realize the importance of gratitude.

Gratitude comes from a humble heart. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us be careful for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God and the peace of God , which passeth all understanding shall keep your hearts through Christ.

God already knows what you need even before you ASK him. So why does God want you to ASK him if he already knows? Because God resisteth the proud , but giveth grace unto the humble. If you are too busy to ASK then God will resist you. I challenge you to ASK of God. If you don't ASK then you won't receive. You have to pray without ceasing. We ought to communicate with God throughout the day, walking with him as our father. This Christian life is not a religious life, it is a personal relationship between an individual person and Jesus Christ. When you ASK then you have done as God commanded, and the Holy Spirit will help our infirmities and intercede for us if we are off target.

"WE don't receive from God because we do not ASK. SO ASK !!!!!!

Thank you
Pastor Angela Walker

Look At Me…..

Look at Me… Do I look like what I been Through?

Take a look at yourself…do you look like what you have been through? Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all and I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth .Let’s go higher in the LORD.
You don’t know my story… Look at me… do I look like what I been through?

What I had to go through moves me to another level in Christ… grace, grace, peace, peace, love, love all comes from above.
Faith without works is dead, I am being encouraged to walk by faith, not by sight… I refuse to let sight overshadow vision, His vision for me.
For we live by faith, not by sight. Plan and simple- Faith is action, walking is action…start doing! One of my testimonies is that I started preparing for what I could not see and took each step by shooting Gods Holy arrows of Scripture that fell in line with what I was going through! No good thing will He withhold- shoot your Word Arrow- For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

It is not time to be stagnant, it is time to move forward… we are walking in the Power of God not in our own flesh. There is change coming within your life…God advancements, God opportunities, God favor, God’s double grace.

It is God that gives power- not people -with God all things are possible.
He does all things well, let Him fight your battles.
He told you to go, let Him led you not the words of others.
God made you and He knows how to do what it is that is needed within you…you will have what you decree.

Do I look like what I been through?
Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

This is your time to bring whatever your needs are and hand them to the LORD. Leave all in His care, don’t look back- walk forward.

It is your time…

Your time of Salvation.
Your time to get under the wings of the Almighty and begin again.
Your time to renew your mind.
Your time to surrender all.
You are an over-comer.
God has turned your situation around- believe that all God has for you belongs to you… you shall, I shall have all that we decree… believe.
Speak your needs into the atmosphere…
