You Are Special to God!

If you think you are a nobody!
If you don’t think that you matter in the scope of things!
If you think you are just a normal person and just one of billions who have
lived on this earth.
If you don’t think that you stand out from the crowd.
If you actually feel that nobody cares about you.

You are totally wrong!

To Jesus you are more than just a number or a face in the crowd.

YOU ARE SPECIAL TO GOD!
And He knows more about you than you may think!

John 10:3
“To Him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear His voice; and He calls
His own sheep by name and leads them out.”

He knows your name. He knows all about you
He knows your total history.
He knows all of your defeats, your successes, your thoughts, your desires,
your fears, your future, and everything else about you.

Psalm 139:1-6
1 “O Lord, You have examined my heart and know everything about me.
2 You know when I sit or stand. When far away you know my every
thought.
3 You chart the path ahead of me, and tell me where to stop and rest.
Every moment, you know where I am.
4 You know what I am going to say before I even say it.
5 You both precede and follow me, and place your hand of blessing on
my head.
6 This is too glorious, too wonderful to believe!”

You are no stranger to Him.
He has always known you; even before you existed!
And you are always on His mind!

Psalm 139:15-17
15 You were there while I was being formed in utter seclusion! (In my
mother’s womb)
16 You saw me before I was born and scheduled each day of my life
before I began to breathe. Every day was recorded in your Book.
17 How precious it is, Lord, to realize that you are thinking about me
constantly! I can’t even count how many times a day your thoughts must
turn towards me. And when I awaken in the morning, you are still thinking
of me!”

He truly loves you.

We have a God who is pure love. He has NO other motive in His dealings with us! Our existence...our reason for living...is but a way for God to show and express His mighty love. Praise His Precious Name! Forever and forever!

Bible Study on God's Love

God's plans for our salvation were formed before the beginning of time.
Ephesians 1:4-5

Our Father always had a plan in mind for us to be saved.
God made a way for us to be His children, through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 3:11

We do NOT have to work to be saved!
Romans 10:8-13; John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8-9

God loves us! Yes, He loves each of us!
We can be confident in the fact that (as forgiven children of God) we now have direct access to our Father.
Ephesians 3:12

Why does God save us?
Ephesians 2:6-7

Let's be assured that God loves us.
1 John 4:9-10

We have a personalGod. We are indeed His children. We can talk to Him as our "Abba Father" (our daddy).
Romans 8:14-17; Galatians 4:4-7

God has blessed us with ALL the blessings that are available from a Loving God!
Ephesians 1:3

We have security in God's love. He is always with us!
Psalm 139:5-10

God's love will never leave us!
Deuteronomy 31:6; Hebrews 13:5

The Holy Spirit fills us with God's love.
Romans 5:5

Are we to love others like God loves us?
John 13:34-35; 1 John 4:11-13

We should rejoice always that we have a God who truly loves His children. He will guide us, protect us, and deliver us, until that appointed day in which we will each stand before Him on that Heavenly shore and be greeted with the statement..."Well done, thou good and faithful servant. Now, enter in to your Heavenly reward!"

Being truly RICH!

How do we define...RICH?
Does being rich alone make us happy?
Or, do the rich and the poor need the same ONE thing in their lives!

Our study begins with:
Luke 19:1-10

The self-righteous were against Jesus calling out Zaccheus to speak with him; to dine with him; to stay with him in his home. (Luke 19:7)
But, Jesus came to save the lost. He came to save the sinner (the poor in spirit) Praise God!
He could not save the lost without communicating with them; without speaking to them; without associating with them; without confronting them.

Matthew 9:12 kjv “But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, ‘They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick (poor in spirit)’.”

The Prince of Darkness (the devil) does NOT want the lost to be saved! He doesn’t want any of us to discover the riches of God’s saving power!
1 Peter 5:8 kjv “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary, the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour...”

The devil is in charge of the world. But God wants each of us to be saved. He wants to share His riches of salvation and grace with us!
Eph. 2:2 kjv “Where in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience...”

The devil doesn’t want Christians to be happy!
He wants us to be unhappy, dissatisfied, disillusioned.
He wants us to always be pursuit of the riches on earth so that we will be too busy to seek after and enjoy the riches available to us through Jesus.

We should be content with what we have on this earth! Learn to stop the constant pursuit of “more”!

1Timothy 6:6 kjv “But godliness with contentment is great gain.”

For some, enough is never enough! Richer is never rich enough!
Ecclesiastes 5:12 kjv “The sleep of a laboring man is sweet, whether he eat little or much: but the abundance of the rich will not suffer him to sleep.”

The world constantly tells us to always want more....and to seek out the newest of everything! This chase after “more” is constantly proclaimed before us whether we watch TV ads, listen to radio advertising, or printed advertising of all kinds....even on our iPads and cell phones.

The world makes everything so enticing!
We are told NOT to be satisfied with what we now have! Get more! Get the latest!
You can’t be happy until you get “more”! Until you get richer!

But, how much is enough? How many worldly riches are enough?
Psalm 37:16 kjv “A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked. “

Rockefeller was never happy - He always wanted “more”!
The constant pursuit of wealth and possessions is the great lie from the devil.
1Timothy 6:10-11, Prov. 28:6, Ecclesiastes 5:10 (never enough)

We should learn to do what the Bible teaches us and become satisfied with what God has provided us! But, the devil would have us conclude life is the direct opposite.
He would have us believe that life itself isn’t fair! And, that we must compensate for that lack and gain all that we want....somehow....some way!

We often envy the wicked...
Because, after all, the wicked prosper while the righteous suffer!
Psalm 73:2-3 kjv

The world (the devil) trains us to be envious of others, and to want more and more!
But, we must learn to be happy with what we have.

Example of Zaccheus.
He was caught in the snare and lies of the devil.
Ecclesiastes 5:10 (never enough), Eph. 2:2, 2 Cor. 4:4
Zaccheus compensated for being short by being successful at stealing from others.
Psalm 73:1-11 (He prospered by being wicked)
He made success on his own.....NOT by God’s help. And he wasn’t happy, either!

Zaccheus accepted Jesus as his Messiah!
He then became truly rich of spirit! He was no longer driven by the pursuit of riches. But, rather he became content when he met and accepted his Messiah.
Col. 1:13, Psalm 73:23-28

Solution:
Learn to be happy with what God has given you.
Hebrews 13:5 web “Be free from the love of money and pleased with the things which you have; for he Himself has said, I will be with you at all times.”
Matthew 6:32-33, Phil. 4:11-13, 1 Timothy 6:7-9

Apostle Paul learned how to be happy with whatever abundance he had.
He learned to be happy with both abundance and with very little.
Phil. 4:11 kjv “Not that I speak in respect to lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it.”

We must change our focus in life.
We can strive for success in life. Nothing is wrong with wanting to succeed in life and to better one’s self financially. And with God’s blessing, we can better ourselves.

But, we must learn to first focus our thoughts and pursuits on our relationship with Jesus. Jesus must become our number one priority. Trade that worldly focus of “self” to a daily pursuit of our life with Jesus as the main course! Matthew 6:24

Take time to think Biblically - you are NOT alone
It is you and the Lord...”Working Together”!

God is our best treasure!
He gives us many blessings
Here on this earth:
“The nearness of God is my good!”
Psalm 34:10b, Psalm 73:28, Luke 3:14b

God will meet all of our needs - this is better than being rich!
Phil. 4:19, Heb. 13:5

Think of eternal promises.
Psalm 73:23-28

But, we must learn to first focus our thoughts and pursuits on our relationship with Jesus. Jesus must become our number one priority. Trade that worldly focus of “self” to a daily pursuit of our life with Jesus as the main course! Matthew 6:24
